General comment In this study, a declared unit is defined as one square meter of the mat.
In this EPD, both primary and secondary data are used. Site specific foreground data have been provided by Grecho. Main data sources are the bill of materials available on the enterprise resource planning. For all processes for which primary are not available, generic data originating from the ecoinvent v3.10 database, allocation cut-off by classification, are used. The ecoinvent database is available in the SimaPro 10.1 software used for the calculations.
In this study, there is no other by products produced from the production line, hence there is quite little occasion that required allocation for multi-output processes. One allocation occurs on the environmental emissions allocation, especially in the area of waste treatment. In the end of life stage, the allocation within the disposal scenario follows mass allocation, which applies to waste treatment process inventory adopted from Ecoinvent data.
No specific cut-off rules are applied in this LCA study.
